We're Here To Listen

9.00 am - midnight - every day

Lonely? Anxious? Depressed? Bereaved? Just Need Someone To Talk To? Would like somebody to Pray for You?

Crossline Coventry is part of the National Christian Helpline on 0300 111 0101. It is staffed by trained Christian volunteers who offer a listening ear to those who call. 0300 111 0101 is a local rate number for all landlines and mobiles and should be included in mobile contract minutes.

A short video describing the work of Crossline and its team of volunteers
As part of the celebration of 25 years of Crossline a short promotional video was made. It describes Crossline and shows what it is like to volunteer as a Listener.

Please contact us if you would like to know more or invite John to come and speak or preach at your Church about Crossline.

All our listeners are trained on a 20 hour Telephone Listening Course. This course is available to be run to groups across the country on request. The core teaching is also available on dvd enabling the contact time with learners to be reduced when only small numbers of individuals wish to train or when insufficient total numbers are available in a given area to make a full contact course viable.

Topics covered in the eight course modules: Listening Skills, Telephone Listening Skills 1 & 2, Telephone Boundaries, Crisis Listening, Call Handling 1, 2 & 3 including Loneliness, Mental Health and Relationships.

Crossline in Coventry was instrumental in the formation of the Christian Helplines Association. (For contact details of CHA members follow the link to the CHA Web Site). Crossline is also a member of the Helplines Partnership. To go to the web sites of these affiliated organisations click on the logos at the bottom of the page.

Crossline Coventry was reawarded Quality Standard Accreditation with the mental health helplines partnership on 23rd February 2009. Crossline Hull & Crossline Scunthorpe & District were also awarded the standard.
Crossline in Coventry has been operating since January 1992 as a project of Coventry City Mission.
